About us and these terms

JobStatement is a sole-trader business based in Birmingham, United Kingdom. Contact us at ask@jobstatement.com. By requesting a service, you agree to these terms. Paid-service details, price and timescale will be confirmed before an order is accepted.

Our services

We provide professional support with teacher personal statements and related job applications. A free appraisal is an initial review, not a full edit or rewrite unless expressly agreed.

Advice is based on the information and job criteria you provide. We do not guarantee an interview, offer, visa, qualification recognition or any other recruitment outcome. Schools and recruiters make their own decisions.

Your responsibilities

You must provide accurate, lawful and sufficiently complete information, check the final document before using it, and ensure every claim reflects your genuine experience and qualifications.

You must not submit confidential pupil records, unlawfully obtained content, discriminatory or abusive material, malware, or work you do not have permission to use. You remain responsible for application deadlines and submission.

Orders, payment and delivery

Any paid order begins when we confirm acceptance. Unless agreed otherwise, payment is due before work starts. Delivery estimates depend on receiving complete materials and timely answers from you.

If information is late or the scope changes, the delivery date and price may change with your agreement. We may refuse or cancel work we cannot provide lawfully or professionally and will refund any amount paid for undelivered work.

Revisions and intellectual property

The agreed service description will state any included revisions. A revision corrects or refines work within the original brief; a new role, substantially new information or a changed direction may require a separate fee.

You keep ownership of the original material you provide. Once the relevant fee is paid, you may use the final work prepared for you for your own job applications. JobStatement retains ownership of its methods, templates and general know-how. You must not resell or publish our service materials as templates.

Website use and availability

You may use the website only for lawful personal or professional purposes. You must not interfere with security, scrape the service at scale, impersonate another person or attempt unauthorised access. We may change or temporarily suspend the website for maintenance, security or operational reasons.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights.

Subject to that, JobStatement is not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable loss, lost opportunities caused by a recruitment decision, or problems caused by inaccurate information, missed deadlines or changes you make after delivery. Our total liability relating to a paid service will normally not exceed the amount paid for that service.

Cancellation, law and contact

Your cancellation and refund rights are explained in our Refund Policy. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts available to you under applicable consumer law will have jurisdiction. Please email ask@jobstatement.com first so we can try to resolve any concern promptly.
